Located at 708 Addison Street @ 4th Street. Phone: (510) 540-8250.

The Tasting Room fuses traditional Japanese beauty with a contemporary sense of space. The blue, glass-tiled floor design is inspired by Japan's rice paddies and reflects the name Takara, which means "treasure from the rice paddy."

Takara is committed to conservation of the environment and virtually all the wood used in the room's structure is reclaimed lumber. The granite floor tiles contain recycled glass from sake, beer, and whiskey bottles.

The Takara Tasting Room features sake and plum wine products. You can also tour the museum and learn about sake production. A video describing sake brewing can be viewed by request.
